In January 2023, Ashneer Grover, along with his wife Madhuri Jain Grover and Chandigarh-based entrepreneur Aseem Ghavri, launched Third Unicorn, a venture aimed at disrupting the fintech space. Their first endeavor, CrickPe, was introduced to compete with established fantasy gaming platforms like Dream11 and Mobile Premier League (MPL).
Despite the buzz surrounding Third Unicorn’s ventures, Grover, Madhuri, and Ghavri declined to provide any comments on their latest project.
The company’s ambitious plans received a significant boost when it secured $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by ZNL Growth Fund. Vevek Ventures Investments and Rishaayu LLP also participated in the funding, reflecting investors’ confidence in Third Unicorn’s potential.
With the digitalization of healthcare gaining momentum, Third Unicorn’s latest venture, ZeroPe, aims to provide data-driven medical loans to address various healthcare needs, including hospitalization, home care, and chronic care management. By integrating with hospital networks, health insurance providers, and government healthcare schemes, ZeroPe aims to streamline the financing process and make it more accessible to patients.

The timing couldn’t be more opportune, considering the projected growth of India’s digital healthcare market. According to a joint report by Boston Consulting Group and B Capital, the market is expected to reach $37 billion by 2030, with healthcare financing alone estimated to contribute $5 billion to this figure.
As Third Unicorn continues to innovate and expand its portfolio, it remains poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of fintech and healthcare financing in India.
