Proclaiming that I know everything is one of the worst things that people nowadays are rich in. Based on word of mouth and internet usage, people start claiming that they know everything, which, in general, is a big problem in today’s generation. Now, every question has an immediate answer without even giving a second to understand the question.
From Social Media to politics, nutrition, and everything, people have expert advice on everything, regardless of their condition in their field, and yes, that’s the problem. This might look empowering, but when everyone claims to be an expert, misinformation, lack of authenticity, prejudging, and half-truths occur instead of genuine knowledge. This Blog is all about how being an expert in everything is a problem, too.
Experts in Illusions –

I know everything fever has taken the maturity among the youth, and they are now on every platform misguiding others about their self-proclaimed judgments and queries, destroying the crucial boundary between amateurs and professional experts. So-called experts start living in illusions that they are the sole source of guidance, decisions, and activities because, as per them, everything that they say is right.
Let us understand how Experts in illusion work in detail. Suppose there’s an ongoing debate regarding financial freedom and finance. So-called Experts who know any particular posts or blogs will start communicating and guiding about the topic when he himself isn’t the ones who are financially free. After reading some blog posts and articles, you can’t become a financial advisor as it takes years to complete the CFA 3 levels – Chartered Financial Analyst. A few viral reels and blogs don’t make you a financially free person or a financial advisor because it takes years of training and experience.
Why So-Called Experts are Loved instead of Genuine Experts?

This illusion and I know everything fever has reached another height now. People have started loving these So-Called Experts more than the Genuine Experts because –
- Misplaced Confidence Technique –
Everyone is familiar with the Misplaced Confidence Technique, where people who tend to be the smartest people alive lack the basics. Yes, the more a person lacks education and information, the more confidence he gains, which in turn circulates from person to person. So-called experts are highly skilled in misplaced confidence techniques that spread severe misinformation like a jungle fire.
- Contradictory Existing Beliefs –
People nowadays prefer to follow someone who speaks something that resonates with their belief systems. Forget about the authenticity, we blindly follow the one who speaks a bit about our belief system. We don’t even prefer a cross-check; their sayings are the same as ours, which gives the verification check.
- Emotional Connect –
Genuine experts speak after studies, years of experience, and actual structured data and surveys. On the other hand, influencers who have become experts play with words, emotionally connect people with their views, and then speak accordingly. It’s in the genes now to ignore the facts and promising lectures and take knowledge from emotionally connected individuals.
- Lack of Faces –
Authenticity comes with faces; that’s people’s mindset nowadays, and they blindly follow anyone who, for even a second, tells them anything in their favour. When educational institutions, media channels, and the government fail to provide vital information, people choose influencers as their only hope, making them verified faces.

Writer’s Saying on the Experts –
In my opinion, experts are those who have both professional and personal experience in any particular field. If you know something about that field, stay mute and understand the basics from the genuine expert, instead of believing yourself to be the one. Have a detailed look at their claims and clarify them from your perspective, and then only speak if yours also relates to the same. Firstly, become a good listener.

This hits. Confidence without depth really is louder than actual expertise these days.
Yes di. People with less knowledge sounds louder then the people with expertise.
