The workplace has been a roller-coaster ride for the youth, as offices are more than playgrounds. There are mixed emotions, mainly stress. The relationship between employers and employees is evolving, and anxieties have been growing as employees are burdened with work. Still, employers are stressed about employees resigning.
Gone are the days when employees faced pressure in silence and continued under job insecurity. Nowadays, with time, everything has changed. Now, they are no longer concerned with job insecurity and instead resign with a loud noise. In this blog, we will understand quiet quitting and loud leaving.
About Workplace’s Loud Leaving –
Loud leaving refers to individuals who leave a company or a workplace altogether. This is now done with the help of social media, which portrays it as a sort of empowerment. As modernization is at its peak, their style of leaving a company has also been modernized. Instead of poorly written and bogus resignation letters, people are now loudly leaving the workplace with Social Media posts.
Loud leaving workplace examples are –
- Following the narrative, I deserve better, while walking away from the toxic environment of the marketplace.
- Showing how their personal life was affected due to this.
- Instead of a farewell, they used to celebrate their leaving on Social Media as a huge achievement.
- Upload a resignation letter on LinkedIn and highlight points like poor management and less expert guidance from the company.
About Quite Quitting at the Workplace –
During the pandemic, everything shifted to remote alternatives, and the workplace shifted from in-office to remote work. Employers felt they were using them to complete tasks after working hours and on weekends. Additionally, this was not only against their interests but also destroyed their mental state and families.

The only home was where people used to enjoy themselves with their families after the harsh, competitive working hours in the workplace. Still, since the pandemic, that too has been covered in the hectic self after employers used to suck your blood from home too in the name of professional tasks. It was still one of the most courageous moves to leave the workplace quietly without notifying anyone, as other individuals with job insecurity used to adapt to all the necessary sayings of their employers.
How Loud Leaving is replacing Quiet Quitting in the Workplace?
Quite quitting was once on the circulars, but now, Loud Leaving is in talks and trends. There are plenty of reasons, but I mention a few top reasons.
- Toxic Culture Backlash
Toxicity in the workplace has been a topic of discussion and heated debate for years. After being exploited to the core, people speak up against this injustice to prevent others from falling into this loophole. Inadequate pay and unsustaining workloads are their prime objectives.
- Social Media as the Platform
Social Media is more than a platform to share everything; it is now people’s favorite and modern friend. People who are outraged by loud shouts use social media to post their disbelief and how they were exploited, which in turn might inspire others and be used to target companies directly.
- Evolution of Personal Branding
People nowadays are done with Jobs’s toxic and busy schedule and now prefer to become a Brand. Nowadays, people want to work with the business owners and the Brand instead of being involved in the management slavery. Loud leaving has been termed the revolution, and people have shown that it is a matter of courage and an expert matter.
- After the Pandemic shift in Priorities –
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, people have shifted to working from home instead of going out. People now stay less in jobs due to insecurities and instead, follow the trend of priority shifts. They use Loud Leaving as a trend to follow the regulations.
This blog will also have the next part, as many things are still being processed. Loud Leaving comes with several reasons, and it is considered a heroic move instead of quiet quitting. Part 2 of the Blog will be coming soon.
